Bioforce is a company focused on biomethane production, with its core activity being the processing of biomass, including animal by-products, into environmentally friendly biomethane. The company’s services include the design and construction of biomethane plants and CNG filling stations, their efficient commissioning, 24/7 operation, and professional maintenance.
The Viiratsi biomethane plant, which has received investment support from the Environmental Investment Centre, will produce biomethane through anaerobic digestion of animal by-products. The plant is expected to process approximately 227,000 tonnes of feedstock annually and generate around 117 GWh of biomethane per year. The project contributes to reducing the environmental footprint by lowering methane emissions and serves as a functioning example of the circular economy by turning waste into green energy. All biomethane produced will be directed to the transport sector. The estimated total investment for the project is EUR 28 million.
